Crown Staffordshire By JT Jones Goldfinch Bird Figurine on Branch J T (Jack) Jones, born 1898, was Crown Staffordshire’s Art Director for 30 years, working for 47 years from joining the Company aged 18.Jack was one of England’s leading designers of fine bone china. His most well-known pieces are the exceptionally fine range of birds encompassing everything from bluebirds to budgerigars, large cockatoos to exquisite pheasants. Each piece is highly decorative with exquisite attention to detail not only in relation to the birds but the accompanying floral decoration. Goldfinch Bird figurine perched on a branch. The end of one petal from a pink flower is broken off the top flower and the top of the leaf below that (see the photos). Also, there are a few chips on leaves and flowers that can be seen if look closely. Measures 5 inches tall by 3.5 inches wide.
