Vintage Old World Christmas “Heart With Rings” measures approximately 2.3/4”. Made in Germany by Inge-Glas, it was imported to the U.S. by the Merck Family. This beautiful ornament has a catalog number of #3019. It can be found on page 58 of the OWC 2000 catalog. This is a vintage, pre-split, Inge/Merck ornament, handcrafted in Germany.In very good/excellent condition, “Heart With Rings” is from my personal collection. Long retired, this collectible treasure comes in a vintage Old World Christmas ornament box. In storage for almost twenty years, this lovely collectible ornament comes from an extremely clean, smoke, and pet-free environment. Please enlarge and review pictures closely – sold as is. About vintage Old World Christmas ornaments: Using mostly antique molds, each exquisite OWC ornament was painstakingly mouth-blown into an original antique mold. Once the ornament cooled, a solution of hot liquid silver was poured inside, giving the ornament its shine and reflectivity. After this stage, the ornament was carefully hand-painted. Finally, the long stem was carefully cut and the distinctive star cap attached. It took approximately seven days to create this heirloom quality ornament! If I were selling this ornament face-to-face at a flea market, garage, or tag sale, I would be happy to reduce the price by a few dollars, but unfortunately I have to deal with the middleman – USPS and eBay. Not only do I pay a monthly store subscription fee, additionally eBay takes the total sale price of an item, adds state sales tax, and then charges a transaction fee of approximately 15%. On top of that they charge a “successful transaction fee” of thirty cents. From what’s left I pay for shipping. Long story short, when the dust settles, there’s not much left from the sale. DAMAGE: In the unlikely event an item is damaged in transit, please save the item, box, and all shipping materials, and contact me via eBay email as soon as possible. I will require detailed pictures of the item, box, shipping materials, and mailing label before a claim can be settled.
