This listing is for one new UHF Stubby antenna that was purchased directly from a known-brand and then custom fine-tuned by hand with lab grade equipment to specifically cover the 460 to 482 MHz frequency range with a VSWR of 1.5:1 or better for true high performance FM analog or digital communications range. Due to the improved VSWR our antenna will reduce the current draw on the portable radio battery during transmit for a longer battery run time. We include a 90 day limited warranty against any defects in materials or workmanship. This antenna is compatible with the following Kenwood UHF radio models; NX-300G, NX-1300, NX-3300, NX-3320, NX-340U, NX-5300, TK-D340U, TK-350, TK-353, TK-360, TK-370, TK-372, TK-380, TK-390, TK-3100, TK-3101, TK-3102, TK-3103, TK-3104, TK-3105, TK-3106, TK-3130, TK-3140, TK-3160, TK-3170, TK-3173, TK-3180, TK-3200, TK-3202, TK-3207, TK-3212, TK-3230, TK-3300, TK-3302, TK-3312, TK-3360, TK-3400, TK-3400U, TK-3402, TK3402U, and TK-5320 Fact: A Bigger antenna is usually NOT BETTER, just Really Big! The portable radio shown in the photo is shown for reference only and is not included. Our custom tuned UHF antennas have greatly improved communications for all business, consumer, commercial, fire, GMRS 462-467 MHz, government, industrial, public safety, police, and rescue radio users who operate in the shared UHF 406 to 512 MHz radio band. The K460 antenna is only 2.0 inches tall with a final height tolerance of plus or minus 0.2 of an inch as measured from the bottom of the weather skirt to the top cap of the antenna. The antenna covering is made of black flexible PVC and has a bottom weather skirt to protect the RF connection on the radio housing. We silver solder all reworked internal antenna connections. The retuning of the antenna achieves a minimum signal gain of up to +3 dB that will effectively double your transmit and receive signal power due to the very low VSWR and excellent 50 ohm impedance match as compared to an untuned antenna. Our retuning also allows for a much smaller antenna height without any loss of performance by eliminating all of the unused space inside the antenna covering.
