Whether it be the tightest control survey, high volume construction staking or a boundary survey with 5 second angular accuracy and its rugged design the iX505 is suitable for use in the toughest environments. Sokkia iX505 can stand up to any wet weather condition that can occur in the field, giving the benefit of not experiencing down time due to inclement weather and a long-life Lithium-Ion batteries will keep you going all day. The UltraSonic motors are the lightest, and most powerful on the market providing you with the smoothest and most accurate prism tracking possible. With a rotation speed of 150° per-second, no matter how fast you move, or how many obstacles are in the way, you cannot outrun the iX505. Sokkia’s UltraTrac technology gives you increased prism-tracking strength in all conditions. Advanced instrument algorithms deliver the confidence you need to move ahead. It’s not that you lose line-of-sight, it’s how fast you can reacquire and get back to work. Sokkia iX505 revolutionizes the surveying industry with its top of the line laser, Bluetooth and EDM technologies, combined with advanced tracking algorithms and communication capabilities. Using Bluetooth wireless technology, the RC-PR5 remote controller enables communication up to nearly 2,000 feet between the data collector and the iX505 robotic total station. This advanced remote control unit mounts on a prism pole in conjunction with a unique 360-degree robotic prism. Not only can surveying be completed by one person, but measurements can be calculated two to three times faster than with a standard total station. Sokkia iX505 robotic total station features auto-point technology that automatically senses the robotic prism to perform sighting. Even in poor lighting conditions, intense reflections and wooded areas, the Sokkia iX505 remains accurate. Another unique feature of the iX505 is the auto-tracking function, using a built-in directional sensor and Bluetooth technology, the robotic total station rotates and follows the direction of the prism. With this advanced function, you won’t need to worry about keeping the line of sight clear between you and the total station while safely maneuvering around obstacles, trees, traffic and buildings out on the field. The RC-PR5 remote unit emits a laser fan beam that is picked up by the detector unit in the handle of the Sokkia iX505. Instantly, the total station turns like a compass in the direction of the prism, keeping track of the prism at all times. In addition, the remote unit’s directional sensor allows you to re-establish contact with the instrument. Simply press the trigger key, and the total station automatically rotates in the shortest direction towards the prism. The auto-tracking function also allows you to select sighting accuracy and speed by choosing the imaging mode that best suits the job. While the digital imaging mode is fine for many situations, the optical imaging mode is ideal for achieving accurate measurements when dealing with an unstable or shaky prism pole. Long range communication, Survey Pro robotic software and well thought-out accessories form a surveying package that will increase your productivity while reducing labor costs. Sokkia iX505 allows you measure in poor visibility and in total darkness, if necessary, and you could do the job completely alone, if you had to. One person can process as many points in the same time as it takes two people measuring with a conventional total station. And because nobody is needed at the instrument, both you and your assistant can help with the work at the measuring point.
