Heavy cream marbled boards half bound with blue/green buckram on corners and spine. Contains A brief history of opera, stories, legends illustrations of La Traviata, The Ring, Faust, Mignon, Stradella, Cavalleria Rusticana, lives of the composers, superb tinted vignettes, and quite stunning full page plates in color and monotone. Internally clean bright text unmarked, plates beautiful, bound well with run through threads to hold the binding of this large heavy book together.
